All Camp Commanders of the Department of Ohio and listed Department Officers;

I would like to implement something new within this Department.

I want to open up communications with all Camps within this department.

1. Camp Commanders will now have to submit a quarterly report to the Chief of Staff of all your Camp activities. These reports will need to be in by January 1, 2008.

They maybe sent e-mail or snail mail to:

Your report should include information such as Camp events, Fundraisers, Dedications, Brothers going above the call of the good of the order and not to forget Brothers in need.

2. Now for the Department Officer Reports:

Commander, Sr. Vice Commander, Jr. Vice Commander, Secretary / Treasurer, Chief of Staff, GAR Records, Signals Officer, Chaplain, and Patriotic Instructor.

These reports will be what you have been doing at Department Level.

These reports will need to be into the Chief of Staff, as well by Jan 1, 2008.

Then the Chief of Staff will submit all reports to the Department Commander and to the Signals Officer to be published in the Buckeye Bugle (Department Newsletter ).

I believe this will be a help to the Department Officers to see what is going on within the Camps as well within the Department.

This will also be a way for the Camps to voice your concerns of issues that you may have. And know that the Department does want to hear all and any problems or good things within the camps.
