Brothers of the Department of Ohio;

         

This Special Order is written and issued in conformity with the provisions of Article 10 of the By-Laws of the Department of Ohio, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.

 

          In the course of new business at the Annual Department Encampment of the Department of Ohio, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, to be held on June 14, 2008 at Veterans Memorial in Columbus, Ohio, proposed changes/additions to the Department By-Laws will be considered.

 

          The full written text of the existing Department By-Laws are attached to this Special Order, with the proposed changes/additions being delineated in bold type.  In particular, the attention of the Department membership is directed to Article 2, Sections 1, 3, 4 and 5;  Article 3, Sections 1, 3 and 5; Article 4, Section 6;  Article 6, Section 1;  Article 7, Sections 1 and 4;  Article 8, Section 2;  Article 9, Sections 1 and 2; and, Article 10.
