Brothers of the Department of Ohio;

1. The Department of Ohio had 16 Brothers attend the 130th National Encampment of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, August 11-14, in Reston, Virginia.  I wish to thank these Brothers for their attendance and support.


2. The Department of Ohio received the 2011 Augustus P. Davis-Conrad Linder Award for the most new members in the Order.  This included a plaque and streamer for the Department flag.  We were also recognized with a framed certificate recognizing the Department for having the most new members.  My thanks and congratulations go out to all of you who made this possible.


3. Congratulations to our new Junior Vice Commander-in-Chief, Brother Ken Freshley, PDC, James A. Garfield Camp #142.


4. I am pleased to announce my election to a three-year term on the National Council of Administration.  Thanks to all Brothers for your help and support in making that happen.
